Schimbeno receives LPGA Foundation scholarship
Emily Schimbeno of Lake City has received the LPGA Foundation Marilyn Smith scholarship for $5,000.
Thirty high school graduates were selected to receive this year's scholarship. Each candidate demonstrated outstanding academic excellence, leadership skills and active involvement and service to their community while fulfilling specific requirements for each scholarship award.
Emily is attending the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, S.D. She plans to major in industrial engineering.
