The FFA garden beds behind the tennis courts have been hard at work this summer providing bountiful harvests for the summer lunch program at Bluff View Elementary.
Free breakfast and lunch was available for children ages 18 and under. The beds have produced a combination of basil, cabbage, carrots, cilantro, dill, and tomatoes. The beds will continue to be used in the high school lunch program in the fall.
All of the plants were planted and cared for by Plant Science students this spring while working in the greenhouse.
