School's new augmented reality sandbox is no joke

What started as a joke among teachers at Lincoln High School has resulted in a piece of rare technology and a uniquely hands-on educational experience for students.

The district is now in possession of what could be just the state’s second “augmented reality sandbox” based on designs and software made available by the University of California - Davis. The other is at St. Cloud State University.
