Seed collection to be Sept. 17 at state park
Wed, 09/14/2016 - 4:44pm
Everyone is invited to be part of the Frontenac State Park prairie restoration management plan. On Saturday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. people can hike in the park’s prairie and help collect seeds from various native prairie plants. The seeds people collect will be saved to re-plant back in the park to continue restoring native prairies.
People can learn about the process of harvesting seeds. People will also see the beautiful prairie areas in the park that have been created by other volunteers in the past.
