Self defense class seeks to empower women

A self-defense class offered by the Lake City Police Department and an owner of Lake City Anytime Fitness might be the only one of its kind in the state.
Jeff Bissonnette of Anytime Fitness said there are lots of dojos and martial arts teachers offering self-defense courses, but he hasn’t found any others offered by a police department as part of community outreach.
