Several groups plan events to honor vets as Veterans Day approaches

Military veterans will be honored in a variety of ways by a variety of organizations around Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11.

A Gold Star Family presentation will be made at The Bluffs of Lake City assisted care facility Wednesday to Robert and Lori Hebert.

The Heberts’ son, Tony, was killed in action in Iraq in 2006.

The presentation will be part of a series of observations throughout the day at the facility.

The public is invited to a program to be held at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Lincoln High School auditorium.
