Several to offer special treats for Halloween

New residents of the recently opened Bluffs of Lake City assisted care facility are putting out the welcome mat Saturday evening.

The facility is inviting young trick-or-treaters to stop by the facility on North Oak Street between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. as they make their Halloween rounds.

The facility is one of several special stops being planned for kids on Halloween.

Lake City police officers will be open for “Candy with Cops” from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Public Safety Building, 209 S. High St.

The police officers also will hold a best costume contest.
