The Lake City VFW Auxiliary 8729 sponsored a patriotic art contest for sixth grade students at Bluff View Elementary School.
The theme was: “So Proudly We Hail, The History of the United States Flag.”
Riley Forbes won first prize, $15. Leah Ratz won second place, $10. In third place was Addie Greer, $5.
Forbes’ art was forwarded to the Minnesota VFW Auxiliary First District contest. The winner of that contest will be entered in the statewide contest.
