Spree is over; Black and Orange Gala is on the way

The aisles at Fiesta Foods in Lake City were calm Monday morning, mostly.

Lynnette Matzke was shopping fast and hard in an effort to collect as much food as she could up to a maximum of $500 worth in three minutes.

The shopping spree was one of the auction items at the Lake City Education Foundation’s first annual Black and Orange Gala fundraiser last year.

The prize was right up Matzke’s aisle.

“I used to watch Supermarket Sweep,” she said. “I loved that show. And I’m a foodie.”
