St. Marks celebrates resurgence

Seven years ago St. Mark’s Episcopal was a church on the brink. Their priest was leaving and the small aging congregation could not afford to hire another one.

Instead of hiring a new minister to lead the parish, they decided they would minister together.

Church members underwent a six-year training and evaluation program called Total Ministry in which members identified and developed their own gifts.

This year, the church, through some serendipity, was able to remodel its outdated kitchen and social hall.
