State park candlelight ski and hike event is back
Frontenac State Park is inviting people to “Come enjoy an evening in the park by candlelight” at its annual candlelight ski and hike event on Saturday, Feb. 12, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
People can snowshoe, ski, or hike the trail along the bluff top with views of the Mississippi River Valley, lit by dozens of ice luminarias and the light of the full moon.
They can warm up at campfires at either end of the trail or have some light refreshments by the wood stove in the warming shelter.
