Swan song: Local jeweler retires after 35 years

Steve Swan, who for over three decades owned and operated Swan Jewelers at 109 E. Center St. in Lake City, has sold the business and retired.
Swan was part of an unbroken tradition of jewelers operating at that address dating back to 1877 that continues today with Johnson Jewelers of Lake City.
First was Crane Bros. Jewelers, next came Schmidt Bros., Jewelers, then Conway Jewelers.
