Tailgate party takes over Gates Tiger Terrace

The newly-constructed Gates Tiger Terrace outdoor classroom space at Lincoln High School hosted its first public event on Friday, Sept. 20, a tailgate party ahead of the Homecoming football game.

Organized by the high school’s Student Wellness Committee, the second annual event featured free food prepared by Family and Consumer Sciences students, face painting, and sign making.

Supt. Ariana Wright said a sign will be mounted on the wall with the name of the space.

A formal ribbon cutting event is being planned.
