Thrift shop presents donation to school programs

The lobby of Lincoln High School was a happy place last week when ten teachers and leaders assembled to receive a total of $8,500 to support their work.

The financial gift came from the Pass It On Thrift Shop, which is owned and operated by the First Congregational Church, UCC, in Lake City.

The shop has made annual donations near the start of the school year to support various student programs and early childhood development. This donation makes a total of $49,000 in the past seven years, according to the church.
