A tribute to four WWII vets we lost in the past year

Lake City was saddened to learn that World War II veteran Dave McKenzie recently passed away in Florida during a spring visit with his son and family. Dave turned 98 in February and his death came on the heels of the recent loss of three other Lake City WW II vets – Dori Schmauss, Warren Roberson, and Gale Hill – all members of America’s “Greatest Generation.”
