Trick-or-treating with less risk

According to the Minnesota Department of Health, some popular Halloween activities pose a higher risk of spreading COVID-19.

These include trick-or-treating where candy is handed to children who go door-to-door, costume parties or haunted houses held indoors, trunk-or-treating where treats are handed out from trunks of cars lined up in large parking lots, and hayrides with people who do not live together and fall festivals.

But public health agencies are offering alternatives and ways to lessen the risk of some activities.
