Unmentioned muralist is Wabasha resident

To illustrate a story on what life might have been like in Lake City at the time the Declaration of Independence was signed, a source for the story recommended a mural at the Wabasha Public Library.

The story included a photo of a section of the mural, but at least one reader was dismayed to see that the muralist wasn’t credited.

The artist is long-time Wabasha resident Sue Mundy.

According to the River Junction Arts Council, she also created the mural where it holds its summer “Under the Bridge” concert series.
