Frontenac Sportsman Club members are readying for their annual ice fishing contest Saturday, Feb. 9, on Frontenac Pond.
Preparations will include doing something with all the snow that’s fallen or will fall between now and then.
“We’re going to do a bunch of plowing here Thursday or Friday,” Sportsman Club member Wally Siewert said.
Ice fishing, Saturday’s main event, will run in two shifts. A free children’s contest will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the main contest from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
