Veterans Empowered recaps year
Veterans Empowered Inc. opened its Rochester clinical office in April of this year. The mission of the local nonprofit is to prevent suicide and save the lives of veterans in crisis. Since 9/11 nearly 350,000 veterans have committed suicide but the actual number is unknown.
Officers are President Steve Lansing, Vice President Cliff Reynolds, and Secretary B. Wayne Quist of Lake City. Dr. Steve Lansing is clinical director, and this year has provided free therapy for over 500 disabled veterans with PTSD, their families, and first responders.
