Veterans groups collaborate to support community events, including Veteran’s Day

The two Lake City veterans organizations, VFW Post 8729 and American Legion Post 110, have worked together for many years supporting community events.

On Nov. 4, they honored one of their own when the VFW Honor Guard and Legion Color Guard performed military honors for Rolland Brown, a former member of the Honor Guard.

People can see the guard marching in the Lake City Water Ski Days grand parade, participating at the Memorial Day observance in Patton Park or at the Lake City High School, and Nov. 11 Veterans Day events.
