In April of 1968, 21 agriculture and beef-minded individuals formed together to create what was known as the Wabasha County Beef Herd Improvement Association. Together, the group held its first meeting inside the Lake City High School, where the agriculture department was located.
On, Friday, Feb. 2, members of that same association—known as the Wabasha County Cattlemen’s Association since 1987—held their 50th annual meeting and celebrated 50 years of existence at the Millville Valley American Legion Post 579.
