Wabasha Irishmen cancel parade, honor late Lake City Irishman

The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Wabasha is canceled this year.
“The Wabasha Area Irishmen began their annual parade in 1988. They marched in snow, rain and sunshine but this year will not be having a parade for obvious reasons. The COVID virus has claimed many activities and gatherings world wide. Even Wabasha.”
Instead they will try to celebrate a Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day on Sept. 17 depending on the status of the virus.
