Walking Lake Pepin tours Old Frontenac

June 29 the Walking Lake Pepin (WLP) group walk took place in Old Frontenac. The new owners of St. Hubert’s Lodge, Jeff and Ann Bolin, greeted the walkers at their new home and shared what they have learned since moving into this historic home.

Jim Schreck also shared the history of the home which was built by one of the first people to settle in Old Frontenac, Israel Garrard, who built this structure as a hunting lodge in 1855. He later made several additions to the structure and moved his wife and family to Old Frontenac.
