Motorists who collide with a deer should treat the incident like any other traffic accident, according to the Lake City Police Department.
That means calling 911 if there are injuries or, if no one is injured, calling the non-emergency dispatch number for the jurisdiction where the accident took place. In Lake City, that number is 651-345-3391, according to the Police Department website. People who don’t know the non-emergency number can call 911.
