Women's hiking group forms in Lake City
A new women’s trail hiking group starts Wednesday, Sept. 18.
The group will meet on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. in the Lake City marina parking lot (behind Family Dollar) and then carpool to hiking location.
Hikes will be “Nothing extreme—just getting out to explore and enjoy nature on our beautiful southeastern Minnesota trails,” according to organizer Helene Pavlowich.
The plan is to start with the state parks trails of two to four miles.
Attendees should wear proper footwear and bring water and hiking poles if they use them.
