Young cottonwood trees provide shade for Lake City residents

Three Lake City residents enjoy relaxing in Ohuta Park in shade provided by young Cottonwood trees that were planted as seedlings less than three years ago.
In September 2021, city officials and other community residents including members of the Lake City Tree Advisory Committee volunteered to remove seedlings growing in the beach along the south shore of Lake City and transplant them to Ohuta Park.
