A federal appeals court ruling has affirmed a lower court ruling dismissing allegations that Wabasha County and other law enforcement agencies improperly accessed the driver’s license data of local political activists.
The case revolves around a 1994 federal law called the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) that restricts the circumstances under which law enforcement personnel and others may look up driver’s license data.
