Iconic businesses close or change hands
Marien’s Deli closed for good at the end of August after nearly 40 years on the 700 block of West Lyon Avenue.
Following the closure, owner Jeri Prigge released a cookbook full of recipes for hotdishes, soups, sweets, and other popular items from the deli.
Sales were brisk and many people joined waiting lists as more were produced to meet demand.
