Band shell moves forward
Efforts to construct a band shell in Lake City to honor the late Lincoln High School band teacher Steven Ritzenthaler have entered a new phase.
On Sept. 10 the Lake City City Council voted to disband a task force created to advise the council on funding, location, design, and additional amenities for a band shell and to accept the task force’s report. They also voted unanimously to initiate a design process to replace the gazebo in Patton Park with a band shell.
