Beach, band shell on special April 1 meeting agenda

The Lake City City Council will hold a special meeting Monday, April 1, at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.

On the agenda are two items that have triggered significant discussion, and some controversy, over the past few years: a structure to replace the recently demolished beach house in the Ohuta Park and marina beach area, and a band shell in honor of Steve Ritzenthaler planned for Patton Park.

A discussion of the beach area was the only topic addressed at a council workshop before the council’s regular meeting on March 11.
