Body discovered near empty fishing boat

The body of an 89-year-old man was found in the water at Weaver Bottoms on May 17, according to the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 7:30 p.m., “the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to an unoccupied fishing boat with motor running driving in circles off the main channel inside the Weaver Bottoms in Wabasha County,” the sheriff’s office said.
