Boe: Mayo receptive to community board input
Lake City City Councilmember Russell Boe used part of his “Councilmember Minute” at the Dec. 9 city council meeting to give an update on certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) coverage in the emergency department at Mayo Clinic Health System in Lake City.
Two nurse anesthetists and a nurse practitioner are suing Mayo Clinic Health System alleging retaliation and defamation in part over their opposition to the possible elimination of 24-hour CRNA coverage in the Lake City emergency department. They say the move would jeopardize patient safety.
