Boilermakers approve contract with Federal-Mogul
After three failed votes and close to 20 months without a contract, members of the Boilermakers Local 650 voted March 3 to approve a contract with Federal-Mogul.
Union officer Newton High said the contract passed with slightly less than two-thirds support from voting members.
“I think the contract was beneficial to both the company and the union,” High said, but it contains “a number of things that are still kind of hard for the union to take.”
Specifics on the deal were not available on Tuesday.
