Brides' designer to cut back on other alterations

With a workload bursting at the seams, Deb Dose has decided to make some alterations to her home alterations business.

Beginning March 1, her business, Fashion Statement, will only make alterations on wedding gowns, flower girl dresses and the dresses of brides’ mothers.

That means she’ll no longer be doing prom dresses or bridesmaid dresses.

It’s the second time since she launched the business in 1992 that the business has had to narrow its scope due to high demand, Dose said.
