Sunday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. Red Wing Unitarian Universalists (UU) community presents “When the Buddha Awoke” with Chris Burawa at Hobgoblin Barn, 920 Highway 19, just west of Highways 61 and 19.
Burawa will answer questions including, “Why do Buddhist practitioners emulate the Buddha’s practice of sitting meditation at this time of year?” and what the Buddha’s discovered and how he developed principles to teach when he “woke up”.
Burawa  has practiced Zen since 1994 and was ordained in  2007 in the Rinzai order of Zen Buddhism at Haku-Un-Ji Zen Center in Tempe, Az.
