Chamber, Tourism Bureau vie for lodging tax money

For years the Lake City Toursim Bureau has been the sole organization seeking to promote tourism in Lake City using money generated by the local lodging tax. Now it has some competition.
At a city council workshop in December to go over the Tourism Bureau’s proposed budget for 2021, the Lake City Chamber of Commerce signaled interest in growing its role in tourism promotion, possibly as a partner to the Tourism Bureau.
