Christmastime event offered by History Center

On Wednesday, Dec. 19, at noon people can spend their lunch hour at the Goodhue County History Center in Red Wing for its monthly free lunchtime program. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch with them.
This month there will be a traveling trunk show from the American Swedish Institute. Jul (Christmas) is the most important time of year for many Swedes, filled with a special smorgåsbord of foods, Santa Lucia celebrations, and a visit from tomte, Sweden’s version of Santa Claus.
