Citizens to pick 3 for City Council
Lake City voters will elect three people to the City Council from a field of six candidates in Tuesday’s general election.
Only one of the candidates, Mary Lou Waltman, currently serves on the council. The other candidates include former Council Member Phil Gartner, John Mead, Cindy McGrath, Mary Jane Rasmussen and Mark Fayette.
City voters also will choose a new mayor. They’ll probably choose Mark Nichols, the only person to file for the office after Mayor Joel Beckman said he would not run again.
