City’s Facade Improvement Program helps businesses look their best

The City of Lake City, through its Port Authority, has assisted two businesses with exterior upgrades this year, and Port Authority Director Doug Grout is trying to create awareness of the program that enabled it and to encourage more businesses to use it.

Whitewater Canvas got a loan from the program, called the Facade Improvement Program (FIP), for landscaping and signage. The Dover-based business expanded into Lake City earlier this year with the purchase of Dave’s Canvas.
