City: Avoid hefty fine by obeying snow emergency ordinance

At the Monday, Jan. 8, City Council meeting, Council Member Faye Brown noted snow in the forecast and reminded citizens about the city’s snow emergency parking rules.

While snowfalls didn’t accumulate to a four-inch depth and trigger a snow emergency declaration, Lake City Emergency Management Director John Yorde said preparation can help people avoid a “hefty $150 per vehicle” fine for violating snow emergency parking rules.
