City council approves TIF to enable Pepin Manufacturing, Inc., expansion

On July 10, the Lake City City Council held a public hearing on and later approved a tax increment financing (TIF) district to aid Pepin Manufacturing, Inc., in an expansion at its Lake City site on Hwy. 61 S.

The company—which produces medical electrodes, lint rollers, and other products—is proposing a roughly $2 million project to add about 13,000 square feet to its Lake City facility. It expects the expansion to add about 10 full-time equivalent jobs.
