City Council field to be narrowed in Tuesday's primary

Polls will be open all day, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 9 for the statewide primary election.
There are a smattering of choices to be made in judicial and congressional races (see related story) but voters living in the city will have some big picks to make.
A field of 12 candidates for three spots on the City Council will be cut in half.
