City Council OKs plan for new Lake City public safety building

Construction could begin in September on a new city public safety building on North 10th Street.

The City Council on Monday night approved final drawings for the 16,000 square foot building.

The building will become the new home for the city’s police department, ambulance service and emergency management operations.

The estimated cost of the new building is $3.4 million.
