City Council says OK to Ohuta Park Wall

Marina administrator: Work on seawall to begin in August

The City Council Monday night voted 4-2 to allow the Lake City Marina to go ahead with replacement of the retaining wall on the beach at Ohuta Park.

Council Member Russell Boe was absent. Council Members Greg Schreck and Andru Peters voted against, urging the marina wait until more comprehensive plans for the waterfront are done.

Earlier plans for a new rest room to replace the bath house at the park were delayed by the council.
