City of Lake City is not affiliated with company selling water service line insurance

Information local residents may be receiving from a company offering water service line insurance is not connected to the City of Lake City, city Public Works officials said.
The city initiated a service line protection program Jan. 1. All eligible utility customers should have received a flyer explaining the program and a $2 per month charge on their utility bill.
