As city parks fill up, city considers changes to memorial procedures

A request from city staff for council action to cease allowing memorial donations for public parks in Lake City didn’t get council support Monday, Aug. 14, but councilmembers seemed to agree that some parks are at capacity with tables, benches, and other memorials and planned to revisit the issue in the coming months.

City Administrator Rob Keehn outlined the issue to the council.
