City refunds fourth quarter liquor license fees
The Lake City City Council voted unanimously Monday to refund liquor license fees as a way to help local bars and restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bars and restaurants have been “closed or extremely limited” in their operations for months during the pandemic, according to the council request for action.
The city’s liquor license period is from July 1 to the end of June. The refund represents fees paid for the last three months of the current licensing year.
The total amount refunded comes to $3,587.50.
