City seeking bids on Ohuta Beach facility

The building that triggered a major redevelopment of Ohuta Beach now has an council-approved plan.

Several years ago the Marina Board presented the City Council with a plan to replace the aging beach house with a new restroom facility.

The City Council debated and eventually approved a four-season facility with the intention of making the area a year-round gathering space.

Drastic alterations to the surrounding park also won council approval and will take place this year.
