City's "Cemstone" property gets a fresh look

The future of a large plot of city-owned land was the subject of a joint meeting of the Lake City Planning Commission and the Lake City Economic Development Authority (EDA) on March 16.

Lake City bought the 102-acre “Cemstone” property west of Highway 63 and south of 10th Street at auction in 2006 for $400,000. The name comes from the company that formerly owned a mine on the site.
