Commission to explore a city dog park

The Lake City City Council has directed the city’s Streets and Parks Commission to look into a potential municipal dog park in Lake City.

A motion approved by the council March 8 directs the commission to “research issues, potential locations, and cost to establish a dog park in Lake City.”

The council included a dog park on its work plan for 2021.

City Administrator Rob Keehn said the motion was presented as a way for the council to begin moving the issue through a process.
